OPEN ROOM
Privacy Policy · Effective October 29, 2026
Using Open Room without an account
Without an account, Open Room saves your selected position and favorite schools only on your device. In the app, deleting the app deletes them. On the website, they're kept in your browser's storage, and clearing your browser data deletes them. None of this is sent to us.
Accounts
An account is optional for using Open Room and required to buy Pro. When you sign up, we collect:
- Your name and email address, to create your account, sign you in, and send account emails such as sign-up confirmation and password reset.
- Your password, which is stored only in encrypted (hashed) form. We can't see it.
- Your saved settings, such as your position and favorite schools, so they sync between the app and the website.
- Your Pro status, so Pro features unlock on both the app and the website.
We use this information only to run your account and Open Room. We don't sell it, share it for advertising, or use it to track you.
Deleting your account
You can delete your account from your profile in the iPhone app or from your account page on the website. Deleting your account permanently removes your name, email address, and saved settings from our systems. You can also email support@openroomcfb.com from the address on your account and we'll delete it for you. If you have an active Pro subscription through Apple, delete your account and also cancel the subscription in your iPhone's Settings, since Apple manages billing.
Coach pilot signup
If you sign up for the coach pilot, the form opens your own email app with a message addressed to us. Nothing is sent until you send that email. The message includes the information you entered: your name, role, school or program, email address, and, if you provide them, your phone number and notes. We use it only to contact you about the pilot and Open Room's coach tools, and we don't sell or share it. To have your information deleted, email support@openroomcfb.com.
Information we don't collect
We don't collect your location, contacts, photos, or any personal information beyond what's described above. We don't use analytics or advertising tools, and we don't track you across other apps or websites.
How the app and website get their data
When you use Open Room, your phone or browser requests football and academic information (rosters, stats, coaches, portal moves, and majors) from our server. Like any website or online service, our hosting providers may briefly record standard technical details of these requests, such as an IP address and the time of the request, to keep the service running securely. We don't use these records to identify you.
Service providers
We use these providers to run Open Room. They process information only on our behalf.
- Supabase stores our football and academic data and, if you create an account, your account information.
- Render hosts our server.
- Resend delivers account emails, such as sign-up confirmation and password reset.
- Namecheap hosts the Open Room website.
- Apple distributes the app through the App Store and handles payment for purchases made in the iPhone app. We never see your payment details.
- Stripe processes payments for purchases made on our website. We never see or store your full card details.
Where the data in Open Room comes from

Children
Open Room is a general-audience app and website and is not directed to children under 13. We don't knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has created an account, email us and we'll delete it.
